Aurum Klerksdorp had fun at Mid Vaal Water
Aurum Klerksdorp had fun at Mid Vaal Water today! This was a preparatory event prior to the planned upcoming VCT / Emthonjeni launch event. Their intervention was meeting the request by Mid Vaal Water Company senior management. Topics covered in this session were:
- Aurum Institute background information
- Vaccines
- Current research at Matlosana
- HIV basic - what it is and how it is spread
- Modes of transmission
- Infection prevention methods
- Treatment, care and support
- VCT
They held two sessions with an audience of at least 36 people per sessions, this covered 72 of the 120 staff personnel in the plant. The processes ran smooth and we had a lot of interaction from the audience in the form of questions asked and concerns raised around HIV and VCT.
Thumbs up to JJ for dazzling them with the Tswana version of the presentation - the general staff are semi skilled and they preferred speaking in Tswana!
