About Human Resources
The Aurum Institute, Human Resources Department is responsible for managing the full employee life cycle process which includes the formal practices around Recruitment, Remuneration and Benefits, Talent Management and HR Operations.
The Human Resources functions within these practices include conducting manpower planning, recruiting the right people for the right job, on and off boarding , identify further training needs, administration of Remuneration and Employee Benefits, evaluating performance, resolving disputes, facilitating disciplinary enquiries and handling communicating with all employees at all levels.
The HR department staff provide the specialised knowledge, necessary tools, training initiatives, administrative services, coaching, IR or management guidance, and talent management oversight that the rest of the organisation needs for successful operation.

Michael McMillan boasts over 32 years work experience, with the majority of those years spent in senior Human Resource strategic management. Michael has worked in large complex organisations, covering a full spectrum of Human Resource related functions.

Who We Are
The Aurum Institute Human Resources Department comprises of qualified Human Resource practitioners such as a Talent Manager, Remuneration & Benefits Manager, Human Resources Business Partners, Payroll Administrators, Recruitment Specialist, and administrative staff. The department is managed by Mr Michael McMillan, Director of Human Resources.
THE HUMAN RESOURCE DIVISION CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONAL SECTIONS:
- The Human Resource Operations section – Responsible for providing human resource services to the different divisions of the company through dedicated HR Business partners.
- The Aurum Recruitment & Selection Section – Responsible for attracting and recruiting suitably qualified and experienced top talent in alignment with the company’s business plan and culture.
- The Aurum Talent Management section - Responsible for ensuring that employees are continuously developed through training programmes, performance evaluation and reward programmes.
- The Remuneration and Benefits section - Manages the company payroll and the employee benefits portfolio for employees. The function also includes maintaining the HR staff files and database records and do work around Remuneration practices based on market trends.
