The Aurum Institute is governed by a Board of Directors, supported by governance committees and led by a Group Management Executive consisting of a Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) supported by a Technical Expert Group; a Group Chief Operations Officer (COO) and a Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Lauren has a rich professional career which spans across academia, as a lecturer in public health, an entrepreneur and public health management with specific emphasis on training, mentoring and quality improvement. The past 10 years of her career have been devoted to enabling professionals and their environments to ensure better health outcomes.
Sue originally studied political science and public policy but developed a passion for strengthening the public health system, particularly through improving the use of data for planning and decision-making.
Dr Petra Kruger graduated with a medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1992 and began her career as a Mine Medical Officer at Gold Fields Limited. Discovering an innate ability to conceptualise, create and implement organisational systems, she assisted in scaling up the company’s Occupational Health services. As an independent consultant, she continued to set up and run Occupational Health services in mining- and construction sector companies over the next few years.
