Human-Centred Design (HCD) starts with understanding people and their experiences.
Through institutional strengthening funding from the NIHR Global Advanced Fellowship awarded to Dr Tonderai Mabuto, Aurum implementation researchers and practitioners came together for a practical workshop exploring how HCD can strengthen the way we approach implementation challenges.
Facilitated by Jason Coetzee of Matchboxology, the session introduced the 5E framework: Evidence, Empathy, Eureka, Execution and Evolution and explored how these principles can be applied in everyday research and practice.
For Aurum, the focus is clear: strengthening community engagement and involvement by ensuring that the people most affected by the challenges we seek to address have a meaningful role in shaping solutions.
