Aurum is an African health research and implementation organisation that works with governments, communities and partners to generate evidence and strengthen the systems that deliver healthcare.

Founded in response to the HIV and tuberculosis epidemics in South Africa, Aurum has grown from a research organisation into one that works across the full pathway from clinical research and implementation science to programme delivery and health systems strengthening.

Today, our work focuses on tuberculosis, HIV, vaccines, diagnostics and epidemic preparedness. We conduct clinical research, evaluate new medicines, vaccines and diagnostic technologies, support countries to introduce evidence-based interventions, and strengthen health systems so that innovation reaches the people who need it most.
