Ghana flags at Black Star Square

Aurum Institute Ghana

Across Ghana, healthcare systems continue to face growing pressure from tuberculosis (TB), antimicrobial resistance, gaps in treatment access and the need for stronger surveillance systems. At the same time, AI and locally driven public health solutions are creating new opportunities to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes.

Aurum Institute Ghana works alongside country partners to support evidence-driven and scalable healthcare solutions that respond to real public health challenges.

Our Work

Delivering public health solutions through surveillance, implementation and innovation.

TB

TB remains a significant public health challenge in Ghana, with barriers to timely diagnosis and continuity of care continuing to affect health outcomes. We support TB prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment programmes designed to strengthen care pathways and improve access to services across communities.

AMR

It is estimated that more than 70% of bacterial isolates from hospitals in Ghana are resistant to commonly used antibiotics, highlighting the growing urgency of antimicrobial resistance. We support AMR surveillance systems, laboratory strengthening and evidence generation that contribute to coordinated public health responses nationally.

AI

Aurum Ghana supports digital health approaches that strengthen surveillance, improve healthcare monitoring and support data-driven programme implementation and decision-making.
