La Chenna Cromer
BA (Women’s Studies), MPH (Behavioural Science and Health Education)
La Chenna Cromer brings 25 years’ experience in public health and business development in the United States, Africa and Asia development markets. Prior to joining Aurum, she was the Business Development Director for mothers2mothers, where she was responsible for managing the proposal development process and positioning the organisation for upcoming USG bids. She also worked regionally (East and Southern Africa Business Development) under FHI360, and at FHI headquarters in the US.
Ms Cromer brings a wealth of experience in soliciting funds from US and European governments, corporations, and private foundations. A passionate advocate for women’s rights, empowerment, and improved access to health care, she brings her enthusiasm to Aurum with hopes to expand its international footprint and strengthen its project start-up.
Ms Cromer has an MPH in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Saint Louis University School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.
As part of the Growth and Business Development Team, she works across all the division and teams at Aurum, leading, designing and delivering Aurum’s entire portfolio of work, including establishing and managing relationships with new partners, multiple governments and funders, leading a team of highly professional staff to deliver outstanding work to all clients and playing a significant strategic role in the leadership and growth trajectory of Aurum and its affiliates. She is based out of Aurum USA, but will travel to the SA office half of the time.
