Makaita Gombe is a health economist with 13 years’ experience in development policy, research, program implementation and health financing. She was previously with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) as a Technical Advisor for HIV Access and as a Programme Manager for Diagnostics and Treatment Programs Manager for TB, HIV and Cervical cancer including COVID-19 diagnostics before that.
Ms Gombe holds a Certificate in Strategy from Harvard Business School Online, a Master of Commerce in Economics, a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Statistics and a Bachelor of Economics and Finance all from the University of Cape Town.
