Ms Tanya Nielson has been involved in clinical trials for more than 12 years and has been in a management role for a decade. These include HIV Prevention Vaccine, HIV Therapeutic Vaccine, TB vaccine, TB drug, HIV prevention PrEP/Microbicide and contraception trials and several observational studies.
As head of the Clinical Research Division her role includes oversight and guidance on the clinical and operational side. She is an Adjunct Instructor
Ms Nielson and her team of highly skilled individuals currently oversee the implementation of 44 clinical trials within the Clinical Research Division. She is passionate about strengthening the division’s footprint in South Africa and beyond and having a positive impact on the communities they work in- in the short term, as well as globally in the long term.
