The Aurum Institute, a leading health impact organisation, this week announced the appointment of Dr Jerry Gule. He is the former Chairperson of the South African Employers for Disability (SAE4D), a non-profit and member organisation formed by leading companies to drive disability inclusion in the workplace, and Love Trust, a charity organisation that promotes quality education for vulnerable children nation-wide.
“Aurum plays a vital role in health policy and research and its focus on the most vulnerable populations and diseases that are infectious and neglected is highly commendable. It’s a great joy for me to be part of such an organization that makes a real difference in people’s lives.” said Dr Gule.
Dr Gule is also the CEO of the Institute of People Management (IPM). Prior to joining the IPM, he founded Gule Executive Coaching (Pty) Limited in 2016 after successfully completing the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Certified Coach Training at the University of Pretoria, Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) Professional Business Coaching Programme in 2015. During his career as an HR Executive, he was an internal coach and mentor to middle and senior managers.
He also holds a BA degree and a Diploma in Education from the University of Botswana and Swaziland and a Master of Education (EdM) from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He obtained a Master of Education (EdM) and a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Harvard University, USA. This was followed by a Diploma in Company Direction, Institute of Directors /Graduate Institute of Management (GIMT) and has been awarded the designation of Fellow Member Institute of Directors (F.Inst. D) in December 2016.

It’s an honour to lead an organization that strives to achieve positive health outcomes for people in South Africa and around the world through world-class evidence-based medical research.” said Dr Gule on his appointment.
The Aurum Board of Directors welcomes Dr Gule into this new role and believes he will be an asset to the work Aurum does.
