AI-Powered Decision Support for Antibiotic Prescribing (DS4AP) Dataset Development Workshop

AI-Powered Decision Support for Antibiotic Prescribing (DS4AP) Dataset Development Workshop

The two-day AI-Powered Decision Support for Antibiotic Prescribing (DS4AP) Dataset Development Workshop held in Accra brought together various experts including clinicians, allied health professionals, policymakers and data scientists to discuss inputs and considerations for the development of an AI-powered clinical decision support tool for improved antibiotic prescribing practices and antimicrobial stewardship in Ghana.

The workshop was a successful collaborative effort in developing robust fine-tuning and context datasets for the underlying large language model, and refining the functional requirements of the DS4AP tool based on the inputs of the beneficiary community.

The workshop was co-hosted by Mr. Nana Kofi Quakyi (Principal Investigator) and Ms. Rirhandzu Makamu (Project Coordinator) and supported by our advisory team, Dr. Edith Duah (Clinical Care Advisor), Dr. Brian Asare (Drug Policy Advisor) and Dr. Lameck Mbangula Amugongo (Ethical AI Use Advisor).
